I’ve been following you forever and have 2 cookbooks. Keep doing what you do.

In today’s newsletter, you talked about Samin Nosrat’s new book and her salad dressing / cole slaw. I went down the rabbit hole, found the recipe (NY Times) and, wonder of wonders, had all of the ingredients for the salad dressing and the red cabbage cole slaw. It was fantastic!!

Long-islander-turned-Californian here! Thanks for this list; I reference it every time we visit. Any post-theatre dinner recommendations? Happy to walk quite a bit (both for pleasure and to get out of the immediate theater district). Was thinking Via Carota but would love any other ideas slightly closer! Thanks so much!

Thanks for this list! I’m a Long-Islander-turned-Californian and I always reference this when we’re back for visits. What about dinner after a show? I’m happy to walk quite a bit (both for pleasure and to avoid the main theater area). Thank you so much!

PS- country hot bagels eaten by the water in Northport on Long Island!

I will check out many of these places all of this week! I’ll be on a solo food tour of mainly Bkln with a bit of Manhattan thrown in on the days I visit the New York Public Library. Thanks again!

This list is still relevant and much appreciated. I went to Superiority Burger tonight. Vegan or not, their “Yuba Verde” is the best damn sandwich I’ve had all year. House made POG soda with a shot of tequila was tangy and smoky.

Popup bagels also good; crunchy and thankfully smaller. Well suited to those who value the bagel itself over the 7 ingredient monster bagel sandwich you’d get elsewhere.

Might try Baar Baar tomorrow.

I found your blog happenchance and ever since if I wanted to make a recipe perfect your unique twists and accuracy as well as spot on taste cannot be beat.

I enjoy reading about places you have travelled and recommend and know that when I visit them the standard will be met.

Thanks again for your amazing work! Love and own all your cookbooks too. ❤️

The list is up to date but not comprehensive. I often look to Eater for restaurant ideas and I read reviews on Google Maps listings.

Is this list up to date? Any new and fresh recommendations for a family with a teenager and young adults? Thanks!
